First-Year Experience
Cleveland State University (CUS) offers a summertime bonding experience, called the Viking Academic Boot Camp. The camp helps you to boost your math and English skills (two subjects you can never have too much of) and promotes friendships.
CSU’s Director of Tutoring and Academic Success, stated, “We try to tell them (this means you) that they are all in this together. This carries into the fall as they form friendships.”
Strong academics and strong college friendships are two of the most important ingredients for staying in college. Become a college graduate. Study, study, study, but, don’t neglect your social life; friends with similar motivations are good for each other.
